"It took me quite a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent." —Madeleine Albright
Today’s featured woman is  Denician Angeleia owner of Angeleia Designs, a jewelry design business.

We asked Denician to share a bit about what keeps her pushing and striving to #MakeItHappen!!!

  1. First, we’d like to thank you so much for being a featured guest on our blog. Tell us a little bit about your business ventures. Thank you for featuring me on Women Make It Happen! I am a jewelry designer for Angeleia Designs on etsy. I create one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces using gemstones, crystal or clay. You will find African, Bohemian and Chic earrings, bracelets and necklaces in my collection. that celebrates the entrepreneur lifestyle.
  2. What propelled you to venture off into entrepreneurship? I started making jewelry because I was a single mom working for a large corporation. I wanted to look professional but I could not find the styles and quality I wanted at the price I needed. I was gifted a box of beads for Christmas and started to educate myself on how to make my own jewelry. After wearing a few of the pieces I made to work I began getting demands to create jewelry for others. Soon I was known as the “go-to” person for fashion jewelry. That sparked the birth of Angeleia Designs for the budget conscious woman.
  3. What are three important lessons you have learned since starting out in your business(es)? 1. Make sure you do your research and use quality products. 2. Make sure you are competitive with your prices. I see a lot of handmade businesses that charge ridiculous prices but they don't have the expertise or quality to back up those prices, resulting in low sales. 3. Make sure you keep the customer happy. Treat others the way you want to be treated. I like to be treated like VIP so I take special efforts to make the customer feel special.
  4. Have you faced any particular struggles being a woman owned business owner? I have not faced any struggles as a woman entrepreneur, most likely because my market is mainly women.
  5. Tell us a little bit about your support circle; who do you rely upon for support and guidance? God is a big supporter in my life. Without Him nothing is possible. My mother is very supportive in encouraging me on new designs to showing me new creative styles, to spreading the word about my business. My mentors are Steve Harvey, Lisa Nichols and many others. I like to read books and be inspired by other successful people.
  6. What advice would you give other women seeking to delve into entrepreneurship? If you know you are called into entrepreneurship. Go for it! Do your research, surround yourself with positive and successful people. Keep your day job while you pursue your dreams or until you have enough steady income from your business to become a full-time entrepreneur.
  7. Supporting other women in business is part of our mantra so tell us how can we support your business ventures? Please visit and support www.AngeleiaDesigns.etsy.com Facebook.com/angeleiadesigns Instagram.com/angeleiadesigns Twitter.com/angeleiadesigns
